Unable to use my Sam's account during sale events
I had been a Sam's Club Member for 25 years. But in the last year the sales were few and far between. And during those very few sale events I would get a error msg saying that the item I am selecting cannot be shipped to my address. So this has happened so often I know the drill, blah, blah blah. Delete your cookies. But that stopped working, well until the sale ended then I could shop again. I was unable to even do a pick up order in my local club. When I finally canceled my membership I lost $50 plus in rewards. During one of my many, many calls the first girl told me, oh I see you have a trouble ticket already in. I pointed out to her, yes, but it still isn't working and it has been 1 1/2 weeks. She didn't care. So I told her transfer me to the department to cancel. That genius told me if I were you I would spend my reward money before I cancel. I had to point out to him that if I could spend my rewards we would not be having this cancel my membership conversation. It is intentional and I believe Sam's need to be sued in a class action lawsuit. Costco had a class action lawsuit for notifying customers too early on renewals. Sam's won't let you shop as will.
It get's better, so as I am canceling, I was told the renewal amount I had just paid would have to go back to my credit card. I asked if it could go to my Sam's Mastercard because I pay the full balance monthly as not to pay interest. Sam's said no. They also said it could take up to 10 day to get refunded. So on day 10 I got a phone call from Sam's saying they cannot credit my visa, it has to go on my Sam's Mastercard. I had paid off my $553 balance by that time which meant I had a $149 credit on that card. I tried using it to make a light purchase at home depot and it was refused and would not go thru. I called and canceled the card and had to wait for a paper check. All said and done, in that last month I had earned another $23 in rewards I could have spent but lost due to the fraudulent way Sam's conducts business. Also in this last year they had made it so there is no way to talk to IA help, just emails. Crooked.
