BCBS has to be the number 1 worst insurance to work with as a provider.

I’ve never had such a hard time with any insurances like I have with BCBS. No matter what number I call, what I ask, or what I say, I can NOT contact a live representative. I’ve tried using availity to see if a patient is in network and it’s just about as useless as blue cross blue shield. I’m trying to figure out specific surgical benefits and I simply can’t contact anyone to see if they have any exclusions, because it is in fact common for insurance companies to have exclusions for this type of surgery. I’ve even gone to the website to input the member’s prefix and got sent to the same line I was previously. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m considering just having the patient call with a list of information because this is the 3rd time I’ve tried. Each time it’s a wild goose chase that’s just a waste of time. Useless company.
