Me and my friend are looking for the water bungalows to sleep in at Khao Sok. The only thing is that I see online the luxury resorts cost 200e per person, and we prefer to do a cheaper alternative. I heard online it's best to go in the village nearby (or is it best in Surat Thani?) and just see the day of if there are any possible accommodation plans, and normally it is cheaper? I will be going in July , so is this the case? is it risky to go the day of and try to find a floating bungalow? or should I take the luxury hotels ? thank you in advance :))
