So my parents want to visit the main campus once before we take admissions.

They are still quite skeptical abt mit manipal, but i wanna join here for btech. They are a bit overprotective i could say. They are not fully convinced abt sending me to hostel, and want me to join blr campus cuz I can go from home.

But like, you get it right😭

1. So pleaseee tell me what I should be careful about so that they dont get the wrong Idea🙏.
2. Which places should I not take them? And what places cud help putting a good impression?
3. Do we need to book an appointment before campus visits? And we're also planning to check out the hostels, is there any procedure for that?

Hey! I wanted genuine opinions from you all.

Im pretty sure I can get EEE or mechanical at MIT Manipal campus, and im interested in these branches too. I've written a few other entrances - viteee, aeee, srmjee and dsat. So i have a few questions.

1. My AEEE(amrita) went good. Im sure ill get ECE at bangalore. MY PARENTS SEEM HELL-BENT ON SENDING ME TO AMRITA, BUT I DONT WANT TO. We live in bangalore, and they are pretty strict - not okay with the idea of sending me to hostel. But I really want to come to manipal. Im done staying here. Pleassseeee tell me how to convince them🙏. They have the idea that no one really studies at manipal and does the usual - partying and all. I've showed them a list of all the student clubs and opportunities at MIT, but they dont seem to budge. Also, amrita's counselling starts weeks before manipal. What do I do??
2. Apart from the reason stated above, the fee is also a factor. My dad said he's okay with 5lpa for my college, but manipal seems to be on the higher side of 6.6lpa min. He makes around 36lpa, my mom is a home maker and I have another sibling. Do you think it will be worth it to persuade him for manipal, or wud it be a burden?
3. Howwww do I convince them for hostel??! I've literally tried everythingg- crying, arguing, begging. Nothing works🤧. My parents decide what i wear, where i go, how much marks in have to score in a test, in everything i do. Im 18 and still dont have my own phone. Im a very outgoing person, and would like to explore and figure out by myself. So I really really want to live away from home. PLEASEE TELL ME HOW TO CONVINCE THEM FOR HOSTEL
