First day home!!
His name is gizmo and he is roughly a year old!! I have him set up in a 4x2x2 front opening pvc enclosure with a mesh top, when I first got him he was super curious and was a big fan of my sweaty hands lol. Right now he is just hanging out in his den on the warm side and I’m giving him all the space he needs to get comfortable, I will briefly check on him to make sure there’s no waste in his den and that he is okay but besides that I’ve just been monitoring temps and humidity. I’m trying not to be a helicopter mom since ive always wanted a snake and I want his enclosure to be perfect but it’s tricky cause there’s always conflicting opinions. I currently don’t have a heat mat but I am highly considering getting one cause it seems that the inside of the den isn’t quite adequate but his basking spot gets way too hot. I am open to kind constructive criticism and just help cause I truly just want to provide the best home I can within my means. I have been looking into the microclimate evo connect pro but there aren’t a lot of reviews for it that aren’t on YouTube (at least that I can find) also it’s way out of my budget currently (I’m in Canada :p ). But I would really appreciate some thermostat suggestions, I do have some but it’s the zoo med brand
