Now that Amazon have dropped support for older devices, should we expect this pattern to continue every year ?

Or does it depend on the technology those “newer older” models use and when they are considered obsolete ?

I.e. Might we go a few years then, again, loose support for several models at once.

(Obviously we’re only speculating here. Unless someone has insider knowledge)
