regarding medicine paeds yes I like reading but again applying everything seeing opd duty round just scares me

anesthesia surgery Obgy I think dont Suit me as I hate ots

ent Optha derma Not cause entirely different syllabus

Ortho I hate personally

and I don’t want para clinical

left is psm psychiatry

but psm has social stigma plus job insecuri

ig and psychiatry initially atttacted me but soon I realise that it is also same like see opd round and is also a differebt Syllabus plus job security is also not good

what to do 😭😭

Inicet/neetpg LUDO>CHESS

so I gave my first INICET after internship

Got around 2.5 k rank

point is that ik I made around 7-8 silly mistakes but the other way around if I’m being honest I was also confused between 2 options in around 20-24 questions which I luckily got correct

so the whole point of telling this is that I’m afraid of how unpredictable these papers are

like for those who genuinely study
I myself have seen in my batch there were a few people who were literally grinding since 3rd year and were securing very good ranks in platforms like Marrow GTs under 100
and definitely they were not faking it I myself saw that

and today after INICET they themselves have no answer to what happened

what I feel now is that we only have one thing in our hands that is to prepare to our best limit possible but the result might still not be equal to the input

one reason is the vastness of the syllabus
like they can ask anything in surgery from Bailey or Sabiston and there are so many books and then so many subjects
it’s merely not possible to read everything

even if you completely learn all Marrow full length notes no one knows whether you might still not even qualify

I genuinely feel luck plays a very big role in this just next to hard work

I think the only way to cope with this thought is to understand that what I have in my hands is only studying to my limit and the rest depends on the paper and result which are a completely different thing altogether

it’s like you can give your vote but you can’t expect that the candidate you voted for will definitely win

what are your thoughts on this

like where is survival of the fittest when it all comes to luck

No worries

Yes, I am very anxious about the results and marks, but thanks to the Reddit community, I realized that I’m not alone. We’re all in the same boat, and our thoughts align so much. It simply means that we’re on the right track and will eventually find what we deserve.
