New Roblox Emissive Map Support + PBR Map Generating Tool

Now that Roblox supports emissive masks, I added emissive map generation to PLAYTEX AI.

The tool can generate:

  • Emissive
  • Normal
  • Roughness
  • AO
  • Height
  • Metallic

from a single texture and lets you continue editing the material before export.

I built a material studio that turns textures into editable PBR materials

Most texture workflows seem to end once the maps are generated.

I've been experimenting with a different approach in PLAYTEX AI where the material stays editable after generation.

The goal is:

Texture → Maps → Material Editing → Export

rather than:

Texture → Maps → Export

Instead of just generating PBR maps and exporting them, the material remains editable.

You can:

  • Generate Normal, Roughness, AO, Height, Metallic and Emissive maps
  • Add cracks
  • Add damage
  • Add wear
  • Add dirt and surface variation
  • Preview changes live
  • Create and save versions for future editing

As mentioned in the video, I am working on an entire new workflow for texture editing which will be out soon. A few things I haven't seen done before.
