I got a new hvac system and the techs caulked the filter slot. I’ve tried to force an open but it’s starting to bend the sides. I tried a small knife and it won’t budge. The HVAC company is not answering my calls. Any advice ?

I don’t have any attic space here. Only right side of the garage holder is peeling. It also shakes when I open my garage door. I haven’t opened it recently due to this issue.

This happened after heavy rain but my roofer does not think it’s water damage but drywall tape issues.
