Does this sound like occipital neuralgia?
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if what I experience sounds similar to occipital neuralgia.
I get what feels like an "ice pick" pain in the back of my head, just above the neck, around the middle-right side. It's not a continuous pain or headache. Instead, it feels like a single sharp stab or poke that lasts only a moment, then goes away.
The thing is, it happens fairly frequently. It's usually just one quick stab at a time rather than repeated shocks in a row.
I don't have constant pain in that area, and I'm trying to figure out whether this sounds like occipital neuralgia or if others here experience something similar.
Thanks!
