The two first images are covering the changes, which I did to check if I missed anything, basically just splotches here and there and some shadows have changed. The other two exludes everything but the changes.

Some things are just a number tag on the map that has been added and or removed. I used photoshop and did difference blending on the layers, basically automatic to see the differences, a bit of changes to that and then used that as masks.

It should make it easier to spot the changes without having to flip back and forth that much. The first and third image are from the V1 map and the second and fourth is V2, to clarify that.

Thought it was interesting, possibly useful and wanted to share, I would appreciate feedback.
