Powering up Helga

Hello!

My playgroup is starting to transition into higher power levels. A lot of decks getting to mid to high 3s. I am wanting to power up my Helga deck to get close to a mid to high 3.

I recently added in my 3 games changers, but unsure of some other pieces I could remove/add to help get there. Would love some advice on cuts or adds. I know that a big starting point would be the land base. If you have any suggestions on specific lands to add that is also appreciated!

Form advice

Just recently switch to bowling with one hand thumb in from one hand no thumb. Super streaky bowler.
Would love to get advice for things to work on. Will likely also take lessons here soon. Just looking for some things I can practice until then. Only been bowling for 3 months now.

Bowlers Thumb

I’ve recently switched to thumb in bowling. Last night I realized that my numb was going numb. After doing some digging, I found out that it was likely from my thumb hole being the wrong size and cause by me gripping with my thumb.

My thumb was still a little numb today. Concerned about bowling going forward. Does this usually heal pretty quick? What is the recommended route to heal.

Hello again! I got a lot of good answers yesterday on my post about the black widow 3.0.

It got me thinking about my bowling overall. Currently I bowl with no thumb one handed. I see a lot of talk online about no thumb bowling being common for beginners.

I plan to bowl for a long time. Is it recommended to go either 1 handed thumb in or 2 hand no thumb instead? Im just unsure if I bite the bullet and swing styles now while I’m new or just stick with what I’m doing.

Hello! I am rather new to bowling so go easy on me here lmao.

I picked up bowling around February. I stuck to house balls for a while but recently (2-3weeks ago) bought a black widow 3.0. Last night the mechanism in the back messed up and spit out my ball on the floor leaving a pretty good gash in it. The alley is fixing it and all is well. I bring that up because after I stopped using my ball, I hit my best game of a 194 with the house ball and averaged much higher the three games I used it.

I know that there is a learning curve to every ball, but the drastic difference in performance makes me feel like maybe I picked the wrong ball as my first. The black widow 3.0 just hooks so much for me. Most times hitting the left side of the pins.

I’m just unsure what to do next. Do I stick with it and learn the ball? Do I cut my loss and pick something different? Not sure if it’s helpful but I bowl one handed with no thumb for reference. Would love some guidance here.
