Lexus 450H - good in Canada’s cold weather?
I’m car looking for my wife. The NX looks like a good fit. I’m definitely leaning towards hybrid vs gas. I’m wondering though if the plug in version is worth the extra cost? She would mostly drive it in the cold Alberta winter - she has a summer toy. Does cold zap the battery to the point where it’s not “worth” plugging in? What is the real world distance in cold weather? Any problems keeping the inside warm (closer to hot for my wife’s preference) when on battery? She would appreciate the extra power of the 450h. Any additional maintenance costs or trouble with the added plug in feature? What is the cost of plugging it in compared to using gas?
I read that the battery for the PHEV takes up quite a bit of the space in back - enough to be a PITA - enough to consider an RX?
