I am planning to build two concrete walls, each measuring 31.6' L x 4' 3" H x 12" W, using rented 2'x8' Symons forms.

My plan is to tapcon 2x4s to the concrete footer, screw another 2x4 on top, and then lay the 2x8 forms horizontally (two high) to reach the 4' 3" height. I intend to screw the forms to the 2x4s and use 12" x-flat ties.

What is the recommended spacing for the x-flat ties?
What is the best way to further brace these forms?

EDIT: 2x8 or 2x6 forms are the only ones available (obviously I would rent 2x4 if available) hence the 2x8 laid horizontally even 2x6 standing vertical makes reaching down in to finish a pain
