Convoy S2+ flickering, battery tube problem?

Update: I feel like an idiot. I was so sure it wasn't the battery that I changed at the first step. Turns out I just mixed up my full and empty batteries. So I use a empty battery for testing and post this stupidity post lol. My apologies for the confusion!
Thanks, darek99.

Hi everyone, my S2+ is flickering even on 10% brightness and just just 1min of switching on (so it is not overheating).

I tried to tighten the retaining rings of both switch and head, but no luck. After swapping parts with another S2+, I’ve confirmed the issue follows the battery tube. When I use the "problematic" tube with a good head/tail, it flickers. When I use a good tube, it’s fine.

Is it possible for the tube to be the issue? I thought it was the most “safety” part.

A few quick impressions on the Fireflies X1S, E07X, and Emisar D4Sv2

Hi all, excuse the poor photo quality, but I just wanted to share some beamshots of a few lights I recently picked up. I made a simple post about two of these (E07X and D4S v2) before, but I have group them all together this time.

Here are them:

- Fireflies X1S Pharos 2025 (FFL5009R 5000k)

- Fireflies E07X Cannon V2 (SFT25R 5000K)

- Emisar D4S V2. (Ch1: 519a 5000k, Ch2: W1 6500k

TL;DR: Both Fireflies are lightweight, offering a great throw (X1S) and a useful "little cannon" beam (E07X) for night walks and hiking. The Emisar D4Sv2 is the heaviest among them but has beautiful aux lights and the most versatile beam, letting me mix flood and throw perfectly via Anduril 2. Both the E07X and D4Sv2 are great candidates for night walking and hiking. And the on-board USB-C charging makes the E07X a great candidate for travel as well.

The Fireflies lights have great build quality and are relatively light, so they might actually be better for carrying on longer walks. The X1S is the lightest of the three, but weight has nothing to do with brightness here. It is very bright and has a focused beam. I don't know its exact throw distance, but I have confidence in it would be closer to 400m listed on its official webpage.

The E07X Cannon V2 really lives up to its name, a little cannon. Thanks to the 7 LEDs and the great optics, the SFT25R showed quite different beam profile here. In my other hosts like the S7, T6, Baton Turbo, and T07D, the SFT25R only has a tiny hotspot. But in the E07X, it creates a large hotspot with useful spill as shown in the photo. When testing it, I feel like the bright hotspot is good for looking a little bit ahead, and the bright spill lets you see the path nearest to you. It's pretty good for night walking or hiking, I think.

Both of the Fireflies have on-board USB-C charging, and the cover is magnificent. According to their official website, it's the "Firefly Patented Magnetic Type-C Port." It’s really nice and useful for traveling, so it makes the E07X another good candidate for a travel light. As for the buttons, I find the Fireflies easier to press and they have a slightly crisper feel.

For the Emisar D4Sv2, it also has excellent build quality. In terms of handling, it fits my hand well with the 26650 tube and should be better for holding over longer periods, though it is the heaviest among them. It looks pretty cute with the 26350 tube, but I think it would not be very comfortable to hold for a long time, and it's still a bit too big for pocket carry… believe me, I tried carrying it for a day, really noticeable. For its beams, Channel 1 with the 519a is a simple, neutral white, it doesn't really have a noticeable hotspot during normal use. Channel 2 with the W1 gives a very sharp hotspot. Although you can see a pentagon shape in the spill in the photo, it only shows up when it's very close to the wall and won't really notice it during normal use. When I run both channels in 50/50 mode, it combines into a really useful mix of hotspot (spot) and spill (flood). I bought this one mainly for hiking too, specifically to have a combination of throw and flood. Compared to the E07X, the beam here is much more flexible because of Anduril 2. I can easily switch between flood, throw, or mix them together, and I can even adjust the mixing ratio. In addition, I think the D4Sv2 has beautiful aux lights that look great through the clear TIR.

Emisar D4Sv2 Dual Channel - W1 6500k + 519a 5000K

Just got this. The light and TIR look nice. Of cause, the beam profile is nice too. Forgot beamshots, but look at those aux lights! It is the most beautiful aux light I have. But I only have feel light with aux light.

Picked up the short tube as well, it looks super cute, but it is definitely too thick to be put in a pocket or be an EDC.

Convoy S7 + SFT25R

This S7 is my first stainless steel light and honestly I like it.

Looks really clean and feels great in hand, but it is definitely heavy. It also gives me some old-school flashlight vibes.

I’m running it with an 18350 tube though, which helps cut down the weight a bit and makes it easier to carry.

As expected, there’s a slight ring in the beam when used up close, probably caused by reflections from the stainless bezel.

My first Fireflies — E07X Cannon V2

Got my first Fireflies, the E07X V2.

Build quality is really nice. Mine is SFT25R 5000K. Tint looks good, but I noticed it is slightly different from my T6 with the same SFT25R 5000K. E07X V2 looks a bit “whiter”, while the T6 feels a bit warmer? Need to take a look later.
