Heat insulation for Pano Roof

Hi all,

Wife has a 2026 cx-50 hybrid premium.

Took the car for a 35 minute drive today in Phoenix. Main road and highway driving. While on the main road, it took about 15 minutes to get to the highway and I kept feeling a radiant heat around me and could barely feel the a/c.

The a/c was on 2 fan mode (2nd highest) with the setting so it comes at your face only, not feet. I also had the seat cooler on full.

The high today was 98 degrees which is obviously hot, but it isn't even peek summer! When I put my hand in the air out of frustration to feel why I was so hot, I could feel radiant heat all around me! The thin fabric that is supposed to act as a barrier between the panoramic sunroof and your head wasn't doing the job at all!

I drive a Honda civic with a sunroof and never felt anything like this!

Do you guys recommend getting it tinted? Anyone else have this issue?

Tldr: panoramic sunroof fabric cover let's a lot of heat in the cabin. Any fix?

Thanks!
