Tinea Versicolor ?
i have similar patches covering my entire hands , bit on elbows and tiny bit on legs, and huge patches on my face- mostly cheeks upper forehead and bit under mouth ( think i spread it from my hands to my face or vice versa).
I suspected first its vitilgo but my hair folicle on infected areas is still normal dark color so its tinea versicolor.
I struggle with this so hard it is already 3rd year, as i started treatment with antifungal creams to late -some 6 months (people got me paranoid its vitilgo) after i noticed it in summer and then after 6 more months of using antifungal creams it seamed i didnt made much progress so i went fully agressive with :
"tea tree extract, head shoulders shampoos, apple cider vinegear , curcuma , garlic, aloe vera , coconut oil, olive oil and even harsh chemicals in sprey that kill bacteria and fungi !. (even tried Corticosteroids few times and used many tubes of anti fungal creams)."
I also consumed many of those things in food to kill it from inside too and i think i have killed it ,as i dont have any new patches and skin aint scaly but smooth for really long time !.
Also my food diet is fully devoted to things that promote skin health aswell (like foods rich in vitamin A, E, zinc etc)
But im having such a hard time trying to get even tone back.
Last 2 summers im desperatly trying to tan the area using tanning accelerators with sun and there is some progress as patches aint white anymore but pink , it is still uneven tone as rest of my body is bronze tanned and since i live in seaside its impossible to avoid sun ,unless to live whole summer,spring and autumn as hermit !
Some people suggested copper infused products but i see it is in some tanning products and wasnt aware of copper before but searching with AI confirms benetis for even tan as

People look at you like you have an plague and it has brought me utter depression and if i dont have cat for last year think i would die of desperation and sadness!.
Hope this helps anyone looking for solutions . will post update after using copper products.
P.S. i also made big error not going to dermatologist straight away but diagnosing myself and trying to heal it with natural remedies.
