The Squish Zone and Fuggler Anatomy.
My idea of where Fugglers came from and their anatomy. Please forgive my poor ability to draw.
The Squish Zone
(The name is not mine, the pocket dimension part and the name came from a different creator)
A bottomless void consisting of four comets. These comets have opposing gravitational forces. When the comets come within close range of each other the opposing forces interact so violently everything caught inside is crushed or flung. Because all the comets have different gravitational forces they can never collide. The void is filled with a gray light. This light is Earths light brought into the void through wormholes. Resulting in some of the void existing in complete darkness. Gravity within the void constantly shifts due to the comets unpredictable movement. There are NO PATTERNS to the void. Any creature that tried to learn died. Items from the Earth that disappear, like the sock that goes missing from the dryer, end up in the Squish Zone. But, in a reversal of the wormhole that brings items to the void, items were brought to Earth along with Fugglers. The 4 comets within the void are unnamed and can be named by the community.
Fuggler Anatomy
Lungs
Due to low oxygen in The Squish Zone, the lungs are small and process oxygen similarly to humans but much more efficiently.
Heart
The heart is designed to beat fast to process emotions. The heart also possesses the ability to restart itself if it stops from a hard impact.
Stomach
Because there is little to no water in The Squish Zone, the stomach uses the blood for digestion. Turning things like metal and plastic into food. Blood is released into the stomach through valves on the side of the stomach.
Bones
Fugglers possess few bones due to the constant impacts they face in the void. Neural connections for movement are carried through the blood.
Blood
Highly acidic. Carries neural connections and nutrients.
Skull
The skull is two inches thick to protect the brain. The skull can survive a two or three story drop.
Flesh
Blubber Jello like flesh to absorb shock from impacts easily. This also allows them to bend and move easily.
Brain
The brain consists of three areas. Emotion and impulses, Memory, and Motor skills. Motor skills are poor and consist of basic movement and biting. Memory is short and incapable of learning, they only remember basic clips and fragments and a few faces. Emotion and impulses dominate the brain. Causing adrenaline and the drive to fulfill basic needs like food and comfort.
