Miss the old chicken
In 2014 when I visited my grandparents who lived about 3 hours away in PA, the first Sheetz I'd ever seen had opened up in the area and I got my first buffalo chicken sub. I loved it so much that once i got my drivers license in 2017 I started visiting my grandparents more often just so i could stay the weekend and get Sheetz buffalo chicken subs.
Now that I'm grown up a Sheetz finally moved into the area I live. Only a few months after they opened they switched to the shredded chicken meat, and honestly it's killed the experience for me. I have so much muscle memory of going to the site and ordering a buffalo chicken sub that I'll sometimes accidentally go to their website just to realize that I can't get what I want. There's no real great alternative.
I'm sure it's fine on tacos or whatever, but on top of the mushy texture the seasoning they use on it doesn't go well with the buffalo sauce. I got it and it was the first time I was ever disappointed with a sub i got at Sheetz. It's also crazy they didn't keep some version of the old chicken either because some sort of grilled chicken is still used on the chicken parm, but I don't want a chicken parm.
Nothing can really be done, i just wanted to complain.
