I hadn't heard about this until now. Does anyone know if the removal of this monitoring system will affect the tsunami warning system on the Oregon coast?

Presumably it will be a catastrophic blow to our ability to detect seismic changes that could signal impending earthquakes or an eruption of said volcano.

But I guess when the Atlantic Current collapses "without warning," little things like the West Coast won't matter at all.
