How are Little League Board member elections conducted?
I am wondering if something is off with the way our league conducted its “election” for open positions. There was a dual position on the executive board that was open. 2 or 3 good standing members were interested and told to write their names down and someone would get back to them.
There was no election or voting of any sort for the parties that were interested. Instead, (this is where I’m wondering what the heck happened) the current executive board absorbed the position for themselves and went ahead and split it (it was a dual role for safety and equipment.) the safety officer spot remained as an executive role and the equipment manager was bumped down to a board of directors position.
Nothing was discussed with the board as a whole. It was finalized by the upper board and that was that.
