Large BG Spike in the Afternoon
Hello. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes in March. We've had some misadventures and mistakes made by our vet, and are currently trying to course correct (that is a long story, and I can explain further if needed). As of today (5/27), he's had his dose increases from 1 unit twice a day to 2 units twice a day. He takes Prozinc.
This morning was his first 2 unit dose. He seems to be acting normally, but my wife checked his bg at 1:30 because I've been nervous about the increase. He was at 354. Still high, but better than he is normally. She checked again at 2:30, and it had spiked to 389. She checked again at 3:30 out of concern and it was at 427.
We called our vet and they told us that his numbers seem fine? But this doesn't feel right and I don't know what to do.
