NSV … I think

I’ve lost 90 lbs. 10 more to goal (and honestly if I get rid of the excess skin that will more than get me beyond goal).

I was wearing a women’s size 18 or 20.

We have a formal event next month and I did some online shopping. Did a huge splurge. I decided to be optimistic and ordered a size 10.

It arrived and was way too big. I returned it and ordered a size 6. I haven’t been a size 6 in 40 years (since my first baby).

My mind literally could not comprehend what a 90 lb weight loss actually means. I have rarely shopped in stores the last 10 years (60 lb weight gain)

I may actually feel comfortable in stores again.

Hi friends.

I started my zepbound journey 10 months ago. I was bereft and felt like a complete failure. Nothing. Worked.

I am blessed with an amazing, supportive husband.

He has supported me always.

This vacation feels so different in so many ways. Being 85 lbs lighter means I can move more. Means I can participate in more activities. Means I feel comfortable instead of always feeling bloated.

Not to mention how much better I feel being out in a bathing suit.

There were difficult times but following my doctor’s plan, using this group for information and support and acknowledging the changes I needed to make in my relationship with food have led me to this place.

I still have 15 lbs to go to goal. But I am no longer morbidly obese. And I thank science, doctors and support systems every single day.
