Woke up at 3am from leg pain again. Idk what to do anymore.
It's been about 3 months since my leg pain started, and this is the second time it's actually woken me up in the middle of the night.
At first I thought it was some kind of injury from a skiing fall. But the longer this goes on, the less convinced I am. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's something autoimmune, or maybe years of walking up and down six flights of stairs every day finally caught up with me.
The frustrating part is that my knee pain seems to be getting worse. I've stopped basically everything I enjoy doing, gym, skiing, badminton, all of it. I kept telling myself that if I rested long enough it would improve, but that doesn't seem to be happening and I'm feeling pretty hopeless right now.
I also searched online and noticed a lot of people describing similar symptoms seem to be female . The pain is really hard to explain. It's not like I can point to one specific spot and say it hurts here. It feels like my bones and muscles are both hurting at the same time. The pain mostly starts around my knee and spreads to the front of my thigh and the area just below my kneecap. It's not some dramatic 10/10 pain. But it's enough that I can't sleep through it, which is honestly driving me crazy.
And I've already seen both an orthopedic doctor and a neurologist, and neither found anything wrong. Now I'm wondering if I should try stuffs like compression boots, massage, or literally anything else. I just want my sleep back. Has anyone dealt with something similar before? Any advice plz&thx!!
