The Never Fade Away quest is supposed to be a memory of the night Alt got kidnapped — April 2013. But the song he's performing? Never Fade Away. The same song that, per lore, he wrote as a tribute after she died.

is the official explanation that Johnny memory is unreliable as alays? or did CDPR just wanted us to hear that banger anyway.

Edit: Thanks y'all for the replies, i just found out from the wiki(specefically chipin'in page) that it was actually the song Johnny was supposed to sing before the 2013 raid.
