Pill vs. liquid forms of Celexa
Hello! I’ve been taking Celexa for about a year now. It’s been great—except it’s made my insomnia worse. I have been taking 15 mg, which was working well (except for the lack of sleep). I’ve been on SSRIs for 20+ years, so to attempt tapering down very slowly (to see if my sleep improves), my psych NP suggested I try the liquid form. I’ve been taking 14 mg now for a few weeks and have been feeling pretty down—which I haven’t felt since starting the Celexa. Since it’s only a 1 mg difference, I’m wondering if maybe the liquid isn’t as effective as the pill form? Or maybe I really am this sensitive and the 14 mg just isn’t enough. Just curious if anyone else has taken both pill and liquid forms of Celexa—or another SSRI—and noticed differences. TIA!
