Lenovo Legion Pro 7i - No Sound
Hey all, I have the following configuration:
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i laptop w/Intel i9
32GB RAM
nVidia RTX 4080 w/12GB RAM
1TB nVME
Realtek Audio
I originally installed the Desktop build without the Gaming configuration (bazzite-nvidia-open-stable-live-amd) and after the installation was completed there was no sound output on either the internal speakers or wired headphones.
After fiddling with stopping/starting the audio service I figured perhaps I should have installed a laptop build so I went back and tried the Laptop Other build (bazzite-nvidia-open-stable-live-amd64) and after the installation was completed there was some faint sound from the internal speakers.
I thought 'great!' and connected my headphones (wired, through the 3.5mm jack) - no sound. So I disconnected the headphones and still no sound, not even after stopping/starting the audio service or rebooting.
I tried bazzite based on a recommendation from someone in the FO4 subreddit and was just looking for improved gaming performance over the bloated pig known as Windows 11. Unfortunately sound is a necessary component in my gaming so I've just been booting back into Windows (I chose a dual-boot configuration when I installed bazzite).
Any recommendations? It appears that nVidia is not as well supported as AMD in bazzite but I'm not sure what that would have to do with the audio issue.
