VA medical opinion found no link between your diagnosed medical condition and military
service. We reviewed your STRs, which show a psychosocial evaluation. In addition, your
military personnel records show your separation due to issues. Therefore, an exam was ordered,
and the VA examiners diagnosed unspecified anxiety disorder with unspecified schizophrenia
spectrum and other psychotic disorder. The examiners reviewed all the evidence and determined
that your unspecified anxiety disorder is secondary to the unspecified schizophrenia spectrum
and other psychotic disorder. The VA examiners explained that schizophrenia is a genetic
disorder and opined that your unspecified schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorder is
less likely than not related to military service. Lastly, the examiners determined that your
claimed condition was not aggravated beyond normal progression by your additional period of
military service. As a nexus is not shown, service connection is denied.
