Physical Rehab Facilities in Santa Clara County?
This is not dementia related, but thought maybe people in this subreddit can help out. My 68 yo lo took a hard fall and has ended up with fractures of the ulna and radius near the wrist and also fractured her pelvis on the same side. They are awaiting the availability of a hand surgeon and it looks like surgery will take place on Thursday.
She lives alone and will not be discharged back to her home without intensive rehab first. Initial impression is that it will be a month to two months before she can safely return home. I'm not easily finding quality listings for respite care. I cannot picture her in a SNF where the average age of residents is 20 years of more her senior, with mediocre food, shared rooms and activities like bingo.
Cost is not an issue.
