I only found and watched tadc 2 weeks ago, and I liked it for its detailed fun animation style and creative humour, with surprisingly touching character moments in between the chaos.

So the finale kinda sucked for me. It was missing what made the series fun for me and was just a lot of talking. The most fun I had with the movie was literally at the start with the fish NPC.

I also feel like there's a distinct drop in quality for the finale compared to the rest, especially in terms of directing. Some examples are like Jax's abstraction, which they just cut to in a confusing way that at first I thought those were the other abstractions who escaped from the cellar. Compare this to the cut from kinger and Queenie to her being sent to the cellar, it was very clear the passage of time and who was abstracting, and was impactful.

When Caine was accessing mind files and brought Scratch out, the whole theatre thought we were gonna see Scratch interact with the cast and fix problems and such. But it turns out that was showing the past (...?), even though it's also implied to be the present due to Caine searching the web for info on the current cast? Maybe I don't get it, but there were quite a bit of confusing sequences that were badly put together.

And how's Caine alive, I thought he got deleted and it was never explained? Maybe this is for theorists to solve and I'll just have to wait, but I spent a good chunk of time just waiting for an explanation on how he's back (he even acknowledged he got 'killed') only to realize it was never happening. Maybe the one they deleted was the blue AI, which was why he threw it out later...? Idk. And also he just decides to become good after being 'deleted'. I dun get it.

I don't regret watching it in theatres, and it still had a somewhat conclusive ending. Seeing the irl stuff was pretty cool, and while the fan service stuff wasn't for me, it was fun hearing the audience freak out about it (especially that last part iykyk).
