I am trying to help a homeless man (mid-20's) that has a disability in the Kansas City area.

He had a severe neck injury in his teens and has debilitating migraines. He missed work a lot because of it. He is able-bodied for the most part (he actively plays a sport), except when the headaches hit, it's detrimental.

I told him he needed to get on disability so he is protected when he has to call out of work due to his chronic symptoms.

He has called around places but they said he needs a Missouri ID to get any state help (he hasn't changed his ID since he moved to KC). He does have his SSN card. How would you get an ID without an address due to homelessness?

I live out of state but I met him while he was working and had an apartment. I didn't know he was homeless until a few months later and I was no longer in KC.

He says he is not on good terms with family/they are no help.

Unfortunately his job let him go due to him missing so much work and now he is out on the street.

I have no idea what to do.

Anyone in Missouri KC area that can give advice and steps on what he should do?

TIA ♡
