Bed delivered next week. Do you recommend surge protector strip before plugging into wall? If so, recommended voltage please. My treadmill even with a surge protector would throw the power switch. Nervous…..

About to buy mattress but not adjustable base.

Does anyone have opinion if the bed will be better with a traditional box spring or a bunkie board, etc?
