First Gaming Pc (800 budget)

  • New build or upgrade?

New build.

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

none

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

Mostly gaming like Marvel Rivals, RDR2, Subnautica 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Roblox, etc.

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

United States. An hour drive from a Micro Center, but I do know somebody close by that I could convince to get me stuff from if I pay them.

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

1 monitor. Looking at a Gigabyte M27Q 27" 1440p 170Hz monitor.

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

700-850, a little flexible if it means much more performance.

  • WiFi or wired connection?

Wifi needed, I don't have the Ethernet capability.

  • Size/noise constraints?

No major constraints. MicroATX preferred but not required.

  • Color/lighting preferences?

I don't like RGB at all, but I've noticed most builds come with it for some reason. Performance and quality first and foremost, before the look.

  • Any other specific needs?

I am also okay with used parts as long as it's working; I'm all for it.

Current planned build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9KYFg3

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
RAM: 32GB DDR4-3200 CL16
Storage: TeamGroup MP44L 1TB NVMe + Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
GPU: RX 6600 8GB
Case: Montech AIR 100 ARGB
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650W Bronze

QUESTIONS:

  • Is the RX 6600 still the best choice at this budget?
  • Are there any parts I'm overpaying for?
  • Would it be worth moving to AM5 if it means spending a bit more?
  • Any changes you'd make to maximize gaming performance and upgradeability?

Build me a pc for gaming, editing, and 3d modeling.

I'm planning to use this pc for gaming like RDR2, Subnautica 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, etc. I only need like 1080p and 30fps. I use After Effects 2020, and it lags a lot, so I'm hoping to get an upgrade from my HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-es0xxx. Finally, I started using Blender, and I've been having alot of fun. I downloaded a small room, and my whole computer crashed. I started my own possible pc build on PCPartPicker, and I think it's pretty good. I'd probably get Windows OS. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9KYFg3

I'd just like some suggestions because my current budget is 600-800. I have no clue how I'd save up that much money, but where there's a will, there's a way.
