Someone is earning income on my ssn and I’ve taken all steps recommended but nothing is getting resolved. They’re threatening to garnish my wages and saying they might revoke my passport. I’ve filed police reports, reported it to all the credit bureaus. I work retail. I can’t afford thousands of dollars in taxes for income in a state I’ve never even set foot in.

What kind of lawyer can help with this? I’m at a loss. I don’t know what else to do. Any advice appreciated.
