appreciation post: powai is pretty awesome no cap
i recently moved to the city in the hiranandani gardens.
while moving, i had to choose between either Powai or sobo
i went with powai and the vibe here is amazing. i hosted a small housewarming party with my close friends as well and the best part is everything is in the walking distance so you literally dont have to travel too much to have fun.
i lovee this neighborhood. making friends here is super ez and the people are amazing. previously where i was living was just filled with boomers, so this is a breath of fresh air for me
plus the neighborhood is super clean + safe even at like 2-3 am. this was important because very often i work overnight
the hard part is finding an apartment. all of the nice ones are already taken, and the brokers are all over the place, making everything difficult. for anyone doing the flat hunt, just use no-broker. but once that is sorted, everything is chill. also in here usually the landlords are super nice with zero restrictions on anything. compare that to many other place in the city, they will have stricter rules the north korea
ps: if anyone knows a good barber in this area lmk, still looking for a good one.
