Firstly I know nothing about tech. Hands up. But I am beyond stumped with this, I've had my external hardrive for a few years now and its been fine. All of a sudden, my laptop is not recognising it. When I plug it in the light goes on and when I remove it the laptop makes the noise to indicate something has been unplugged. I've tried Disk management, but honestly I made it as far as seeing that its uninitialised (??) and when I tried to fix it there it came up with an error. I have some important files and memories on there and I really don't want to lose them. Please send help!
