May thoughts

  1. The Correspondent deserves the hype. I adored this book.
  2. The Midnight Show is a fun read especially if you liked Daisy Jones.
  3. Really really liked The Poet Empress but trigger warnings abound. It’s kind of a Game of Thrones set in ancient China with less dense writing. I will be shocked if HBO doesn’t pick it up for a series soon.
  4. Re-read one of my favorite books of all time, Anne of Green Gables, with my 6 year old.
  5. Yesteryear is a ride. I gave it a 3 because I could not put it down but really didn’t like the last 1/4 of the book and hated the ending.
  6. I didn’t love Remarkably Bright as much as I expected, but it was sweet and I really really enjoyed the voice of the Marcellus the Octopus in the audiobook version.

Currently reading: God of The Woods, The Penderwicks (with daughter) and The Picture of Dorian Gray. Later in the month will be my first Vonnegut (The Sirens of Titan).
