Hi, I've posted here before talking about joystick stuff, and I seem to have an okay solution at this point for when I need just one joystick, but when I got a Glydr, some of my foot issues all the sudden flared up enough that I'm pausing using it until I've gone through some more PT for my foot issues. In the meantime, for a couple of games I was using it for some controls that I couldn't easily get set up for my hands. Namely turning the camera left and right and holding down a key, control for one, tab for another.
In the meantime while I wait on PT, since I haven't even had my intake appointment yet for it, I'm wondering if y'all have recommendations for what other body parts I should focus on trying to make use of that are going to typically have lower strain. I'm waiting on some stuff for setting up a couple of my Logitech switches as elbow switches for turning the camera, but I'm not sure how practical it would be to have three buttons on shoulder switches, especially since the third one is something that I would have to hold down for a significant amounts of time while making inputs. My head and face are mostly off limits because I am using an eye tracking device with mill mouse that would experience a lot of reduced accuracy if I'm having to move my head or if anything is too close to and in front of my eyes (for reference, I have to pull my hair back when using it. Any significant amount of hair resting in front of my shoulders is enough to cause errors but bring the accuracy down to the point where I'm not able to the mouse and specs reliably.
Ideally I would like something that I could just velcro to some part of my desk or chair, or even my computer tower if it's something I'm doing with the side of my calf or something like that, because I already have adhesive velcro strips, and getting the equipment for mounting things for my elbows that won't get hit accidentally has already costed enough to be an issue. I'm planning on maybe getting a cheap hover switch once I can afford it, since the store that I got my adapter for turning a GoPro mount into a switch mount has one, but that is going to have to be a longer-term project since it's still over $50 and I'm on a pretty small fixed income
