Happy Masters of the Universe movie release day!
I’m looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. As a long-time fan of the franchise, as long as it captures that goofy, campy fun spirit… I’ll have a good time.
So, in honor of the film’s release, here’s a repost of a piece I made a while back. I wrote & animated it, and some wonderful friends handled the voice work & music. (Also, it was excuse to buy new MotU action figures 😁).

I’m on the hunt for a couple of figures—Masterverse Fisto and Black Series Jar Jar—and am hoping to see if any local used toy stores have them.
Echo Base did not. I could check Intergalactic Plastic, I’ve been there a few times, but they’re kind of far away (especially with gas prices being what they are).
Can anyone suggest any other good stores in the Kissimmee/Orlando area for this sort of thing?
I did find them reasonably cheap online, but there’s a bit of instant gratification to getting them immediately. 😆

I’ve been working on a Gungan Jedi (2nd pic) and am hoping to make him a bit less Jar Jar-like in color.
Thanks to amazing advice by @trashy_cappy, I’ve been experimenting with a paint technique to see if it would work for this.
But my question is, has anyone ever used this wash paint? I’m thinking that rather than a full repaint, just doing a light over-color so the skin patterns show through but the tone is different.
Would this work? Is it light enough for the original patterns to show, or will it cover everything too heavily?
Any suggestions are welcome!
It’s always kind of funny (to me) when using these little Galactic Heroes figures, because they’re not particularly articulated. So it’s mostly down to making them turn around or move back and forth. But sometimes, they really are the best tools for the job.
Anyway, this is a silly idea I had and then made it into a thing.
Found this guy at Walmart (Kissimmee, FL) in the regular section, with no clearance tags on any of them. But I double checked the price (because I’d heard that some people are finding him on clearance) and he rang up for $15.50!
