50 years ago tonight, May 1, 1976, Rush played a concert at the University of Missouri at Rolla (now called the Missouri University of Science and Technology). This concert was part of the 2112 tour and was tucked between performances in Waterloo, IA and Kansas City, KS.

Not only was this the first time I saw Rush in concert, I was also a DJ at the campus rock station, KMNR, and had a chance to meet Rush when we invited them over to the KMNR studios. Alex, Geddy, and Neil were very engaging and excited to talk about the release of 2112.

Fifty years and countless concerts later, Rush is still my favorite band!
