Maybe it’s just me, but i’m not entirely sure. But it seems that every time, a domination map is the selected one for a match in comp, 9 times out of 10, it’s always the worse games someone will have. Many factors of course, but i want to touch on one in specific and that’s positioning.
Overall, positing regardless if it’s domination or convoy is equally important. But i think people have a much easier time with positioning on convoy maps than they do on domination. I dont know what it is, but why do people insist on treating it like a free for all on these maps?
I am a tank main, so I understand that dive is always the more favored comp on these maps as well. Unfortunately, the team i usually end up queued with, either don’t know or want to run dive comp. So i insist on adapting to whatever play style they want for this match, and end up picking a shield tank or brawl if need be.
The enemy team, always runs dive. It’s like people on these maps (in specific), see dive and go completely braindead. The constant spacing out makes it a living hell to even try and peel because if your team has no comms or refuse to ping, it’ll end up becoming a whole tom and jerry chase scene the whole round.
I wish domination maps would get removed from competitive until people actually LEARNED how to play on them. It’s insane to me how we’re in season 7.5 & domination maps are somehow still a massive struggle for people. Nearly all my losses this season are from these maps alone, rather than convoy.
