Hi, I happened to inherit two paintings with no reliable information about who exactly the painter is nor where they're from. Unfortunately the person who gave the paintings to my late father is also deceased. I don't expect the artist to be well known, but there's a little bit of a personal story to the paintings ending up with my father and I would like to learn the artist's name or any contact information.
Both paintings are oil on canvas. I checked the backsides before wrapping them and there were no markings or stickers whatsoever. They are currently wrapped and stored.
The paintings were personally purchased by my father's friend, presumably in northern Portugal, and more likely than not by the artist themselves or a local gallery.
A Google Lens search with the painter's signature led me to another one of their paintings for sale at OLX Portugal (www.olx.pt), which seems to be an second-hand goods online marketplace, but the offer was gone shortly after. Every other website offering identification of signatures or paintings yielded nothing.
