I loved pre 2016 Dave Rubin. I had always been tangentially interested in politics but he is the one that really pulled me in. I loved how he had conversations with every side of the spectrum in a real genuine way. To this day, even as someone who is more liberal, I have a certain level of moderation that comes from wanting to understand that each side.

Everything changed when Dave found out that being a right winged grifter (as well as many others in the IDW) is way more profitable than being honest. Now he simps for people that literally hate him and his way of life. His beating on Surrounded just proved what so many already knew.
