Hero Builder - Load from Local Save

I've done many updates throughout the site, lots of pages filled with a plethora of information.

However, just wanted to share updates that were done with the Hero Builder page, specifically the Load Save option to allow you to load any hero (Player or AI opponent) from a local save file.

Please check out the Hero builder and provide any feedback. You can provide feedback for other pages as well.

Smart Breeding Path Planner

Example Breeding Path including a Required Pal

Smart Breeding Path Planner

What makes it “smart” is that it does more than find the shortest breeding chain. It tries to find a breeding path that is actually practical for the player.

The planner works backward from the Pal you want and checks the breeding recipe graph to find possible paths. Instead of only counting steps, it scores each plan by how realistic it is to use: how hard the starting Pals are to get, how many breeding steps it takes, how deep the tree gets, how many source Pals are needed, and other tie-breakers like total source levels and rarity.

The Required Pals feature is a big part of that. If you already have a Pal with specific passive skills you want to pass down, you can mark that Pal as required, and the planner will try to build the breeding route around including it. You can require up to 4 specific source Pals, which helps when you are trying to preserve passives instead of just creating the target Pal from scratch.

It also avoids bad routes, like using the target Pal as one of its own parents, and it clearly separates the Pals you selected as Required from the extra source Pals the planner found on its own.

To keep the results useful, it shows multiple good alternatives when you have 0–1 Required Pals selected, but switches to best-path solving when you select 2–4 Required Pals so the planner stays fast and the results do not become overwhelming.

The heavier planning work also runs in the background, so more complex searches do not freeze the page.

Feel free to give feedback/suggestions if you have any.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a fan site for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era and figured I’d share it here:

https://olden-era.gameatlas.games/

The basic idea is to build a clean wiki/tool-style site as more info about the game comes out. Right now I’m trying to keep it simple and easy to browse, with the hope that it can eventually become useful for quick lookups, faction info, units, heroes, mechanics, and maybe some tools/calculators if they make sense.

It’s definitely still a work in progress, but I wanted to put it out there and see what people think.

A few things I’d be curious about:

  • What info would you want to see added first?
  • Are there any tools or comparison pages you’d actually use?
  • Does the site feel easy enough to navigate?
  • Is anything confusing, missing, or annoying?

Mostly just hoping to build this in a useful direction instead of guessing what people would want.

Thanks to anyone who takes a look.
