Something About Batman and Nightwing’s Relationship in This Game

Nightwing is one of my favorite Bat-Family members, but I feel like, mainly in Chapter Four, Batman is kind of a jerk to him for no reason. First with the costume, then when Barbara is first brought to the Batcave. I feel like his personality as a whole is really different here.

Batman is kind of mean overall to Grayson. He schools him for creaking jokes, but isn’t part of the point of Robin to be a light in Batman’s life? Isn’t the point of training Robin to stop him from being like Bruce?

Idk, I feel like Grayson had some potential in the story that was wasted. Maybe that’s just the “Nightwing’s my second favorite Bat-Family member” in me talking.

I'm supposed to be almost an adult. I'm supposed to be "smart and gifted" and yet all I do is fail and hurt everyone around me. And if they're not hurt, they just don't see how I hurt them yet. I leech off my parents because my lazy ass can't find a job. I do nothing but yell at and hit my brother when he annoys me. Even my girlfriend who I say I love and cherish, can I really say any of that when I use her affection to validate myself? I'm a disappointment to my family and I've only ever succeeded at things so brain-dead easy everyone who puts a modicum of effort into them does well. I'm an arrogant liar with the temperament of a toddler who does nothing but make the people around me suffer. If I died, anyone who cried would eventually realize and accept that. They'd be better off without me.

And yet death seems so scary. I hurt everyone else but I can't bring myself to do the ultimate hurt to myself? I already suffer from consequences and guilt, why can't I end it all myself? I can't even bring myself to break up with my girlfriend to protect her from me using her because I'm scared she'll just hurt even more. I should just be locked away where I can never hurt another person again and be left to wallow in my misery.

See this post for details: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsCantina/comments/1sz2fs6/starting_may_the_fourth_im_going_to_start_a/

Now technically, the first point in the timeline is Young Jedi Adventures, since it is canon and does take place before The Acolyte. However, I’m not sitting through 3 or 4 seasons of this show, especially not if I have to sit through The Acolyte right after. So, I’m starting with The Acolyte. Maybe the story will turn out to be half decent on a rewatch

I‘m close to graduating and I want to celebrate by starting a massive marathon of all of the movies and shows in Star Wars. All except Young Jedi Adventures (because I’m not starting off with a Disney Junior show) and Forces of Destiny (because the timeline jumps around way too much). I’m also going to document major checkpoints here on the journey (like finishing The Clone Wars, the ends of different eras, etc.) and my overall roadmap looks like this:

The Acolyte

Tales of The Jedi

The Phantom Menace

Tales of The Jedi Episode 3

Attack of The Clones

The Clone Wars (including the movie)

Revenge of The Sith

The Bad Batch

Tales of The Empire

Maul: Shadow Lord

Tales of The Underworld

Tales of The Jedi Episode 5

Solo

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Andor Season 1

Rebels

Andor Season 2

Rogue One

The OT

Skeleton Crew

The Mandalorian

Book of Boba Fett

The Mandalorian Season 3

The Mandalorian and Grogu (it’ll be out by the time I get here)

Ahsoka

Resistance Season 1

The Force Awakens

Resistance Season 2

The Last Jedi

The Rise of Skywalker

This is obviously a massive undertaking but I’m genuinely excited to get started on it. I’ve loved Star Wars since I was a kid and this way, I’ll get to appreciate the entirety of the series as I start adulthood.

Star Wars: Battlefront II — In the campaign, Iden Versio is an Imperial special forces commander. Following the Battle of Endor, her father Admiral Versio leads Operation Cinder, a contingency plan laid by Emperor Palpatine in the case of his death. It uses a network of satellites to cause unnatural storms that would ravage the world’s most loyal to the Empire as a fear tactic. Thirty years later, Vardos still sees atmospheric ash falling from the sky.

Hollow Knight — In Kingdom’s Edge, the desolate atmosphere is highlighted by the snowfall. After the boss fight with Hornet here, you find the body of the Pale King’s greatwyrm form. The snow here is in fact flakes of this creature’s skin.
