Gyno surgery with local anesthesia

I’m planning to get my gyno removed (grade 1 gyno and lipo) and the surgeon told me that she will do it with local anesthesia and with an sedation pill. I have never done a surgery like that. Has anyone who did an gyno surgery do it with local anesthesia and with an sedation pill and what was your experience?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been wondering about something for a while now. I’ve had grade 1 gynecomastia since I was 12, and I’m 21 now. Back when I was 12, I went to the doctor and got tested, and all my hormone levels came back normal.

I also want to add that when I was 12, I was active in football and boxing, and I’ve always been fit.

What I find strange is that no one in my family has it. As far as I know, I’m the only one.

So I’m curious: can gynecomastia be genetic even if it doesn’t really run in the family? Or could there be some other cause?

Also, something else I’ve been thinking about: if I ever have a son, would he have a higher chance of developing gynecomastia compared to other kids, or does it not really affect that?

If anyone has knowledge about this or has experienced something similar, I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Thanks!
