Uber driver refuses to return my coat

I understand that its my fault for forgetting an item but this was a brand new fur coat that I had gotten as a gift for Christmas so I was super sad to have lost it. I was respectful and quiet the whole ride and tipped the highest option. I texted immediately the next day and I agreed to pay the lost item fee for delivery. Mind you this was february in Northern Canada where its -20 to -40. Kinda needed my coat ASAP. He said he would drop it off when he had a ride on my side of town because he didnt want to drive over. Couple weeks no coat so I texted again. No response. Tried calling no response. I even offered to come pick it up. When I asked customer support for help they said they arent authorized to contact drivers and that I should file a police report. A police report against who?? I dont have his address or name. I just feel like its crazy that Uber isnt allowed to talk to drivers.

How are you the middle man but refuse to get involved in the middle the second there is an actual conflict. Just there to steal the drivers profits. Do you guys have any advice on how to approach this

Furnace smells like burning metal

In the past few months when I turn on the furnace at work, the first 10 minutes it reeks like burning metal within 10 seconds of me turning it on. This never used to happen last spring when Id be switching between ac or heat. My furnace at home has never smelt to me. Our clinic is in a strip mall and Im wondering if this is concerning enough to bring to the maintenance's attention. I cant tell if the smell quickly disappears or if I get used to it
