Deliver 13 bottles of wine up dark unlit stairs
So you get to the destination with 13 bottles in one box, with the bottom of the box bowing under the weight and the customer has inexplicably parked sideways across their driveway so there isn’t a way to walk past it (it winds up steeply with vegetation and uneven ground beside it) and you message them to ask if they can meet you. They bellow from above “just use the stairs”, which as you look to the left are narrow wooden steps with a single handrail beside a travelator, however there are no lights as you peer into the darkness. You message again and suggest that it is unlikely that you can walk up with the 13 bottles in the box provided- the customer ignores this. You contact support to advise the customer is not in a safe location for drop off, cancel and return the order. Uber Eats subsequently contacts you to warn that you have not followed their procedures and will consider reassessing your access. Thanks Uber Eats and most valued customer at Wallumatta Rd, Newport.
