eczema patches healing process
Hello fellow redditors,
Asking for some advice on which stage of healing I’m at for my eczema patches.
I started using Avene XeraCalm A.D. Lipid-Replenishing Cream on my patches about 2 weeks ago, and this is the result.
I’ve had these patches for months and have been trial-and-erroring with different creams:
QV Flare Up Cream — seemed to make my patches weep
CeraVe Moisturising Cream — didn’t really soothe the itch
So far, the Avene XeraCalm has helped reduce the itching, but I only apply it once a day, right after showering. I’m not sure if I’m on the right trajectory toward healing, but the patches have become smoother while also seeming to spread slightly larger in area.
Is this considered normal during eczema healing, or could it mean something else is going on?
Would appreciate any advice or similar experiences. Thank you!
