[Space Retro / Glam Rock] Star-Lord's Cassette Tape from Mars — 70s-80s Cosmic Mixtape

Hi everyone,

I made a Spotify playlist called **"Star-Lord's Cassette Tape: Space Retro"**.

It starts with Bowie and ends with Bowie, taking you on a nostalgic journey through 70s-80s space pop, glam rock, and retro sci-fi vibes.

Think Guardians of the Galaxy cassette tapes playing in the background, the pop-culture explosion of Ready Player One, and the lonely red deserts of Mars all mixed together.

Featuring classic hits from David Bowie, T.Rex, Electric Light Orchestra, Gary Numan, Tears for Fears, and more.

If you love cruising through space with the perfect retro mixtape, this one’s for you.

[Post-Punk] I don't know how to make music, but I directed 3 AIs to drop a concept album about Mars and loneliness.

Hi everyone. I have zero background in making music, but I’m someone who deeply, deeply loves punk, rock, and metal.

When I first discovered Suno, my mind was blown: "Wow, I can actually make music!" I got so hooked that I low-key neglected my day job, spending endless hours creating track after track. Once I looked up, I realized I had built a huge catalog. Since global distribution has become so accessible nowadays, I realized even someone like me could officially release an album. So, I decided to go for it.

Listening to the generated instrumentals, the theme of Mars suddenly came to my mind. Mars instantly made me think of the lonely rovers, David Bowie, and a sense of bittersweet, melancholic storytelling. I based the core theme on the Opportunity Rover’s miraculous 15-year journey, specifically its final active day: Sol 5111. I wrote the opening track as a tribute to the legendary David Bowie, who gave me my musical inspiration, and to remember the lonely rover.

Since I am Korean, my English is far from perfect. To fully articulate my raw inspiration, I collaborated closely with three different AIs—GPT, Gemini, and Grok—to write and refine the lyrics. While crafting these songs under the backdrop of Mars, I found myself pouring my own sense of isolation and loneliness that I feel while living here on Earth into the words.

Somehow, the album is officially out and available on Spotify, but I’m incredibly curious about how native English speakers will perceive it. I’d love to hear your honest feedback on whether my intent and the dry, staccato nuance of the lyrics actually translate well.

The songs didn't turn out exactly 100% as I initially planned in my head, but they have their own gritty, unpolished charm that I've grown to love. In a way, I started thinking that what the AI accidentally generated for me might actually be better than anything I could have rigidly planned and forced into existence.

The production might feel raw or imperfect, but I am sending this signal out into the dark, hoping that maybe, just maybe, someone out there will hear the line and connect with the isolation hidden beneath the tracks. Thank you for listening.
